Autumn sailing required a long leg from Preveza to Croatia via Corfu, Otranto, Brindisi, Bari and Vieste. Weather for the trip was poor so we ended up sheltering in Brindisi for the best part of a week and didn't end up with time to show our friends some of the sights of Puglia. Vieste was a hidden gem and we were glad to spend a night there. Vieste, at the eastern end of the Gargano makes for the shortest crossing to Croatia. Lastovo, a port of entry, is only 8 hours sailing away. Zaplotica, on the north coast of Lastovo. Pomona, Mljet. Despite the poor weather in Italy it was good journey to make and made 2019 our longest cruise yet. It's good to be back in Croatia and we enjoyed visiting some of our favourite places in the southern islands again. Our new marina is at Slano, and is quite the best marina we have over-wintered Lyra in. There's no real boatyard facilities but the 'hotel' facilities are excellent and there's a frequent fast bus into Dubrovnik.
